Nick Kyrgios, Alex De Minaur, Jason Murray Kubler, and Ajla Tomljanovic will be among the Australian players who will compete in the United Cup that will kick-start on the 29th of December.

Australia, the Czech Republic, and Spain will compete in Group D, while Germany, Great Britain, and the United States will play in Group C. The round-robin stage will take place at Ken Rosewall Arena in Sydney from December 29 through January 3.

Sydney audiences can anticipate some fervent performances. Group winners compete for a spot in the semifinal at the City Finals on Wednesday, January 4. From January 6–8, the semifinals and final will be held in Sydney, giving other well-known athletes a chance to shine in the Harbour City.

Nick Kyrgios is overexcited about playing in the competition. “We don’t have many events during the year where we’re both, male and female, playing in the same event together, competing for prize money, a title, and representing your country all in one,” said Nick.

Kyrgios was recently heavily criticized for choosing to play in the Diriyah Tennis Cup, pocketing a six-figure appearance fee, instead of defending the colors of Australia at the Davis Cup.
