Carlos Alcaraz had an amazing season after winning the US Open and finishing his 2022 at the top of the rankings. Carlito won the prestigious Most Improved Player Of The Year Award, beating Holger Rune, Maxime Cressy and Jack Draper.
Carlito was elated by the recognition to comment:
“I’m really happy to receive this award, and I want to say thank you to all my colleagues who voted me as the Most Improved Player of the Year.
For me it’s an amazing achievement. This year has been a really good year for me, a dream year for me, and I’m looking to improve the year in 2023. Thank you very much.”
The Injury
Carlos Alcaraz was not able to play in the ATP Finals after suffering an abdominal injury. Fortunately, it seems that he has recovered and he will play in the Mubadala World Tennis Championship on Saturday.

WLWWWWWWWW Now the world no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 4th of November when he had to retire when playing against world no.11 Holger Rune in the quarter and the scoreline was 6-3 6-6 .

This season Rune has a composed 50-27 win-loss record. Holger conquered 4 titles in 2022 in the Sanremo Challenger, Munich, Stockholm and Paris. Rune reached the final in Sofia and Basel.

Presently, during this year Cressy has a 34-30 win-loss record. Cressy conquered 1 title in Newport. Cressy was the runner-up in Melbourne and in Eastbourne.
Jack Draper in 2022
Currently the world no.42, Jack played his last match on the 11th of November when he was overcome by world no.47 Brandon Nakashima 4-3(6) 1-4 4-2 4-3(5) in the semifinal in the Next Gen ATP Finals (draw).
This season Draper has a 46-19 win-loss record. The Brit conquered 4 titles in 2022 in the Forli 2 Challenger, the Forli 4 Challenger, the Forli 5 Challenger and the St. Brieuc Challenger.
Maxime Cressy and Jack Draper played each other once. The head to head is 1-0 for Cressy. When they played, Maxime Cressy won 7-6(5) 6-7(2) 6-3 in the semifinal in Eastbourne (Viking International) on the 24th of June 2022.
