Later, he reached the semi-final at the ATP 1000 event in Paris before winning a historical Davis Cup.

Now ranked no.6 (career-high), Auger-Aliassime played his last match on the 27th of November when he beat world no.24 Alex De Minaur 6-3 6-4 in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).
