Rankings. Carlos Alcaraz Inspired By Iga Swiatek Trying To Remain The Wore The Number 1

Carlos Alcaraz is about to play the Mubadala World Tennis Championships. The Spanish sensation ended the year at the top of the rankings. Even if he is very well aware that it is difficult to stay number 1, he hopes to achieve what Iga Swiatek has been doing on the WTA tour.

During a recent interview, Carlito commented:

“I see her year has been incredible, she broke a record I think for the longest winning streak. It’s amazing. I wish to be like her, to not lose the No. 1. But I think it’s almost impossible. I’m going to lose it but the point is to recover it and stay there at No. 1 as much as I can.”

After recovering from an abdominal injury, Alcaraz will return to competitions in Abu Dhabi next week. It will be extremely interesting to see what his fitness is.
