Emma Raducanu didn’t have the season she was hoping for this year after she conquered the US Open in 2021. She is content with how she handled the intense pressure of being a Grand Slam champion, though, in her first experience on the main tour.
In an interview with the lifestyle publication SheerLuxe, the British tennis player provided a detailed recap of the 2022 season and covered a variety of topics both on and off the court. The 20-year-old made an unexpected revelation during the interview when she discussed her perseverance this year.
“The past year has meant getting used to that side of things–the publicity and hearing all these things. I never even knew about myself! The attention on the tour is so intense.”
Emma put all her attention in the last few months in recovering from a wrist injury. The British sensation will take part in the upcoming Mubadala World Tennis Championship playing and match in Abu Dhabi with Ons Jabeur. They are scheduled to compete on the 16th of December.
