Alexander Zverev has finally found some stability with his girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla. The German presenter shared her pride in Sascha helping children with diabetes with his foundation. Sophia posted the following message on social media: “You are beautiful inside and out. What you do for children with diabetes is incredible. I couldn’t be prouder of you and your foundation.”

Sascha is also struggling with diabetes. The Alexander Zverev Foundation was established by the tennis player in August 2022 with the goal of “providing insulin and life-saving medicines to children in developing countries and those in need.”
The former World No. 2 revealed during the launch that he was given a diabetes diagnosis when he was just three years old. Additionally, he recently disclosed that he overcame all odds to become a successful athlete and that he wanted to inspire and uplift young children and their parents as a result.
“I was always told that I would never make it with diabetes. Different doctors, and different specialists said ‘competitive athlete with diabetes? That’s impossible.’ And then, at some point I thought to myself, I’m second in the world; I am Olympic champion; I can help others with this issue! I can encourage others. I can be the messenger for the topic diabetes,” said Zverev.

Now the world no.12, Zverev played his last match on the 3rd of June when he had to retire when playing against world no.2 Rafael Nadal in the semifinal and the scoreline was 7-6(8) 6-6 .
This season the German has managed to achieve a composed 29-10 record. Alexander Zverev’s most significant achievement of this year was getting to the final in Montpellier and Madrid.
