Maria Sharapova has qualified for the 7th time to the season’s final. The Russian didn’t have a smashing US Open as she lost in the 4th round at the hands of Caroline Wozniacki, but apparently that was enough to qualify.
Maria: I am really excited to play in Singapore
The Russian commented “I am really excited to qualify for the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global and to bring the best in women’s tennis to Singapore this October,”
Last year Maria has also qualified for the season’s finale, but she was unable to play because of a shoulder injury.
The tournament will be hosted at the Singapore Sports Hub from October 20 to 26.
