Stefanos Tsitsipas made the huge mistake of criticizing “modern feminism” on social media with a tweet on Thursday. The Greek player said, “Modern feminism has swerved from gender equality into a cult of outrage that seeks to disparage men.” After that comment, Stefanos was widely attacked, mostly by women who contested his statement.
Later, Tsitsipas tried to make amend with another couple of tweets saying that the radicalization of feminism is not good. Anyway, also these tweets attracted a rather nasty array of comments. Probably Stefanos should have stayed out of it.
Unequal societies are less cohesive. They have higher rates of anti-social behaviour and violence. Countries with greater gender equality are more connected. This should be encouraged at a healthy level. It should not be radical. That’s where the problem lays.

Currently the world no.4, Tsitsipas played his last match on the 18th of November when he was defeated by world no.8 Andrey Rublev 3-6 6-3 6-2 in the round robin in the Nitto ATP Finals (draw).
Until now, during this year Tsitsipas has a compiled 59-24 match record. Tsitsipas conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Monte-Carlo and Mallorca. Stefanos reached the final in Rotterdam, Rome, Cincinnati, Astana and Stockholm.
