Nick Kyrgios and Reilly Opelka are probably not in a fantastic relationship with Fernando Verdasco after their recent statements on Twitter. The Spanish player must be out of competition for 2 months after forgetting to renew a medical exemption.
During the ATP Challenger in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in February 2022, a urine test on Fernando revealed that he had methylphenidate in his system. Nevertheless, the issue was just that he forgot to renew his medical exemption
Verdasco uses this medication for his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) explains in a note clearing the Spanish tennis player of voluntary doping that his mistake was forgetting to renew the therapeutic use exemption for this drug.
Kyrgios’ comment
Nick Kyrgios and Reilly Opelka were quick in commenting. Nick says he was not surprised by the penalty. Fans criticized him for shading Fernando saying that the Australian has his own issues after settling a lawsuit for allegedly abusing his former girlfriend.

Opelka and the was
I know you are currently in a phase where you enjoy saying things for no reason at all, but you don’t know when Fernando was diagnosed, you don’t know anything about his personal situation at all. But I guess that doesn’t really matter

Opelka and the “legal doping”
Reilly was also not impressed with the entire situation, saying that Verdasco was using legal doping. A fan collected more than 180 likes when he commented that it is not proper to comment on Verdasco’s situation without having all the facts.
