Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal and Holger Rune are among the top players who have received nominations. The awards are given to the men's tennis players who perform the best over the previous 12 months.

The ATP tour has established the initial lists of nominees for the end-of-season awards to be given to the tennis players who have distinguished themselves the most over the previous 12 months. Carlos Alcaraz, Rafael Nadal and Holger Rune are among the top players who have received the nominations.

Comeback player of the year

The player who overcame a serious injury and restored his status as one of the top ATP players is named “comeback player of the year.”

The nominated players are Borna Coric, the Austrian former winner of the US Open Dominic Thiem, the Swiss Stan Wawrinka and Wu Yibing.

Most improved player of the year

This is the player who has shown an ever-improving level of performance throughout the year and who has attained a significant best ranking by the year’s end.

The nominated players are Chosen Carlos Alcaraz, Maxime Cressy, Jack Draper and Holger Rune.

Newcomer of the year

The winner will be the Next Gen player who had the biggest impact this season and broke into the top 100 for the first time in 2022.

The nominated players are Carlos Alcaraz, Maxime Cressy, Jack Draper and Holger Rune.

Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award

The chosen player will be the athlete who displayed the highest degree of professionalism and integrity throughout the entire year, competed against his teammates in the most fair manner possible, and helped to grow the game through his activities off the court. The nominated players are: Carlos Alcaraz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Rafael Nadal, Casper Ruud and Frances Tiafoe

Coach of the year

The nominations are Juan Carlos Ferrero (Carlos Alcaraz), Frederic Fontang (Felix Auger-Aliassime), Goran Ivanisevic (Novak Djokovic), Michael Russell (Taylor Fritz) and Christian Ruud (Casper Ruud).
