Frances Tiafoe is one of the most exciting tennis players in the world, but sometimes tennis fans and pundits are not very happy when he does not follow the etiquette. Tennis legend Adriano Panatta was extremely displeased when he saw Tiafoe wearing headphones during the American national anthem.
The 1976 Roland Garros champion said: “He is rude. If I were his captain, I would kick him in the butt.”
Dear Mr Tiafoe, I really enjoy your tennis. But when you're with your teammates on court for a Davis Cup quarter-final, please remove your headphones altogether for the national anthems of your opponents and of your own nation, not just hitch one back to bare one ear.
