Stefanos Tsitsipas’s father Apostolos and his cryptic message on social media

Stefanos Tsitsipas And His Father Apostolos

Stefanos Tsitsipas had a rather tricky season. The Greek champion ended his 2022 ranked number 4, which is not a bad result for a “normal” player, but he was definitely aiming for more. Stefanos hasn’t managed yet to win that elusive Slam title that he has been chasing for many years. According to many tennis fans and pundits, the presence of Stefanos’s parents in his box and team is one of the major breaks to his development.

Apostolos’s post on Facebook

Stefanos’s father published a rather cryptic post on Facebook, anticipating that there could be some addition to their team.

Dear tennis fans, tennis people and sponsors.

I would like to express my gratitude to all of you for your support, and for the useful feedback during this year.

There is definitely room improvement to be made, in which we remain open-minded to allow growth to be added to “our nest.”

We are working on this in order to provide better quality tennis, and inspiration to all who love tennis and life itself.

We are happy to have you support us throughout this journey, with your dedicated passion and love for what you do and it does not go unnoticed. Thank you for helping us flourish in our craftsmanship and pursue our dreams with a team of dedicated and hardworking individuals who are there for us at any single moment we need them.

Let’s fasten our seat belts and fly into 2023 steadier and higher. Wishing to everyone good health, love, and success.”

Jim Courier vs. Tsitsipas’s parents

American tennis legend Jim Courier was absolutely unimpressed by Stefanos Tsitsipas’s parents during one of his matches at the current ATP Finals. Stefanos was so upset with them that he even threw a ball at their box while they were arguing.

“My main takeaway from this is a little bit of a feeling of empathy for Stef Tsitsipas. Things that are out of his control are impacting him. His family, they’re so invested in his success. They want so much for him, they want to help him from the sidelines, but they’re just hurting him. And it’s hurting his chances to play good tennis,” said Courier.
