Naomi Osaka Sued

Naomi Osaka is not having the best year of her life. The Japanese sensation has been struggling on court dealing also with all sorts of injuries. The former world No. 1 is now one of several top athletes who are about to be sued. The third-largest cryptocurrency exchange at one point, FTX, announced last Friday that it was declaring bankruptcy. Naomi was among the personalities who endorsed the project.

What was one of the most valuable startups in the world, the Bahamas-based cryptocurrency exchange FTX, announced in March that Naomi Osaka had taken an equity stake in the company and would be paid in cryptocurrency.

The four-time Grand Slam champion and FTX entered into a long-term partnership agreement, as part of which Osaka will focus on recruiting female users to its cryptocurrency platform and actively participate in creating content.

American authorities are looking into the Sam Bankman-Fried founded business, which was known for using high-profile endorsements to market products. The Japanese star has been named as a defendant in a lawsuit brought against the cryptocurrency exchange, along with NBA legend Steph Curry and NFL great Tom Brady.

The lawsuit, which has been filed in Florida, asserts that the athletes are just as liable as the business’s founder because they supported FTX and gave it instant credibility.

Let’s hope everything will be fine and Naomi will be cleared.
