Roger Federer has reached another semifinal at the US Open to be the new world no.2 in the Year to Date rankings.

In fact, the actual YTD ranking see Djokovic as the no.1 ( 7,430pts), then Nadal (6,645 pts) and then Federer (6,160 pts).

Reaching the semifinal at the Flushing Meadows will give (at least) 720pts to the Swiss. This means that if Roger loses against Cilic

he will have 6,880pts and he will overtake Rafa (6,645 pts) that wasn’t fit to play in New York (see article)

Roger will try to go for more. No doubt about that.
