Aurelie Tourte To Officiate Djokovic Vs. Ruud

Novak Djokovic and Casper Ruud will face off for the ATP Finals title on Sunday at 7 p.m. local time. Djokovic can make history by becoming the oldest winner of this competition at 35 years of age, breaking Roger Federer’s record. The Swiss legend conquered this title back in 2011 when he was 30. Nevertheless, there will be something unique in this match because Aurelie Tourte will be the first female to umpire the final of the ATP season’s finale.

Aurelie has an incredible experience not only on the WTA tour but also on the ATP side. She officiated the 2021 French Open men’s singles Final and the 2022 French Open Men’s Double Final. She is also the first Woman to Umpire an ATP 500 Final.

Aurelie was also in the chair when Djokovic defaulted vs. Pablo Carreno-Busta during that weird match of the 2020 US Open.
