Casper Ruud is having a fantastic season. According to the live rankings, after reaching the final of the ATP Finals, Casper will be ranked number 3. On Sunday, if he defeats Novak Djokovic, he will end the year ranked number 2, overtaking Rafael Nadal. Nadal’s uncle, Toni, believes that Casper can go for more. The Norwegian player is used to training at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Majorca and therefore, he is well-known in Rafa’s circle.

Casper Ruud ranked no.1?

During a recent interview, Toni Nadal explained why he believes that Ruud definitely has the opportunity to become the world number 1. During an interview with Eurosport, the Spaniard commented:

“I have seen many of his matches and he is a very good tennis player. He can be No. 1. The most important thing in tennis and in life is to improve. Casper has this capacity. Normally he makes things very easy, very simple and not complicated. With calmness, he hits the ball very well. When you are alone and on the tour, you have to improve and try to learn.”
