This was the first time that Sania Mirza and Bruno Soares played together and apparently that was great! The new couple won the mixed doubles at the US Open against Abigail Spears and Santiago Gonzalez.
The match was very tight and Bruno and Sania managed to win it just at the very end 6-1 2-6 11-9.
This is the 3rd major title in mixed doubles for Sania Mirza has she has won the Australian Open in 2009 and the French Open in 2012 with Buphati while Soares has already won 1 mixed double title at the 2012 US Open.
