Felix Auger-Aliassime is having a fantastic season after winning 4 titles and qualifying for the ATP Finals. According to tennis legend Jimmy Connors, Felix will be a top player alongside Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner and Casper Ruud.
Auger-Aliassime had only one tour-level title until 4 weeks ago, when he went on to win 3 straight titles (Florence, Antwerp, and Basel) and 16 consecutive tour-level matches (ending in the Paris Masters semifinals). In the process, he secured a spot in the 2022 ATP Finals.
On a recent episode of the ‘Advantage Connors’ podcast, Jimmy Connors lavished praise on Felix Auger-Aliassime, stating that Auger-Aliassime is among the Next Gen talents who can win 10 or more Grand Slams.
“He is one of those guys now. With Alcaraz, with Ruud, with Sinner, and those guys, to start taking over and be that next generation to see who’s going to win 10, 12, 6 or 8, or whatever Grand Slam events,” said chatting with his son Brett.
“For him to win three in a row, what that tells me is that not only has he gotten the confidence in his game, but everything else around him is working too,” Connors said.
