Why Andy Murray believes Draper and Raducanu will have a great future.

Andy Murray explains why he is so bullish about British tennis

Murray Raducanu And Draper

Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu are consistently hitting the headlines in the UK with their results. Even if Emma has not managed to have a great season in 2022 after winning the US Open last year, she is still very much in the limelight in the UK. Jack Draper is also turning heads in his country. After beginning the year outside the top 100, Draper has had a breakout season on the ATP Tour and is currently ranked No. 41.

Before making his debut at the top level at Eastbourne International, he won 4 ATP Challenger Tour titles in the early going. He subsequently defeated 3rd seed Stefanos Tsitsipas to advance to his first-ever ATP Masters 1000 quarterfinal at the Canadian Open, and he then advanced to the third round of the US Open by surprising sixth seed Felix Auger-Aliassime.

During a recent interview with the Evening Sport, Andy Murray revealed why he was so impressed by Jack Draper and he is pretty confident that Emma Raducanu will also have a great future.

“Jack has got huge potential and only done six or seven months on tour. I’ve been lucky to practice with him and spend time with him. The future’s really bright for him but also with Emma Raducanu. And there’s a couple of junior prospects on the women’s side that the coaches are pretty excited about.”
