Emma Raducanu has just turned 20 and she celebrated her birthday at the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire with some friends. The British sensation decided to take a long break from competition after struggling with a wrist injury. Emma could not play the last tournaments of the season; also, she had to decline to represent her country during the recent Billy J King Cup that was staged in Glasgow. Nevertheless, she didn’t miss the chance to celebrate her birthday and posted this message on social media.

When will Raducanu be back to competition?
Emma is currently building her fitness with the help of Andy Murray’s former physical coach Jez Green. Unfortunately, Emma was ditched there by her coach Dmitry Tursunov who preferred to partner with Belinda Bencic. It is not clear when she will be back to competitions. Raducanu is not in the lineup for the United Cup that will kick-start on the 29th of December. She is expected to play an exhibition match during the Mubadala World Tennis Championships on the 16th of December.

Ranked no.74, Raducanu played her last match on the 4th of October when she was defeated by world no.8 Darya Kasatkina 7-5 6-4 in the 1st round in Ostrava (draw).
During this season Raducanu has a composed 17-19 record. Emma Raducanu’s best achievement of the current year was getting to the semifinal in Seoul.
