Jannik Sinner had a rather tricky season after struggling with all sorts of injuries. Italian sensation will not be able to play in the Davis Cup because he has been battling with an injury to his hand. During a recent talk, Jannik revealed that the injury is so bad that he cannot even hold his racket right now.
“We are starting the preparation for 2023, my body needs to grow. The hand injury still prevents me from taking the racket in hand,” said Jannik

At the beginning of the season, Jannik had Covid in January and February missing Rotterdam. Later he had to retire when playing in Indian Wells for illness. Things got bad also in his following tournament in Miami where he retired with blisters. Sinner suffered from a hip injury in Rome. During the Roland Garros, he had a left knee injury. Recently he also sprained an ankle while playing in Sofia.
Ranked world no.15, Jannik played his last match on the 31st of October when he was overcome by world no.58 Marc-Andrea Huesler 6-2 6-3 in the 1st round in Paris (draw). During this season Sinner has achieved a composed 47-16 match record. This year, Jannik won 1 title in Umag.
