Novak Djokovic found himself at the centre of a weird controversy. His team was seen mixing a “mysterious” drink during one of his matches in Paris. When preparing that drink, Novak’s team was careful not to disclose what they were mixing. That is perfectly normal for elite athletes who do not want to disclose the trade secret.
Unfortunately, that secrecy was not well interpreted why some tennis fans and journalists who thought that that behavior was suspicious and that they were hiding something that was probably not legal.
Can anyone who knows tennis explain what is going on here, and why it’s being done this way? It looks amazingly dodgy. pic.twitter.com/xoJHBLmTzA

Millman supporting Djokovic
Former world number 33 John Millman was not happy with some comments against Djokovic and the allegations that there was something fishy in his drink. He said that it was quite probable that he did not want to give any edge to anyone by disclosing what they were mixing in Novak’s drink. Furthermore, Millman said that inside the locker room, it is quite normal to see tennis players and their teams making drinks.
This was his tweet.
To add to that, inside a locker room you see a players team always making drinks, in unmarked bottles and put in the fridge. Training programs, supplement intake etc is trade secret.
