Carlos Alcaraz managed to qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin, but he will not play because of an abdominal tear which made him retire from the ATP1000 in Paris. His doctor said it would take approximately 6 weeks to recover from this injury.
It is not clear when Carlito will be back to competition. Alcaraz will also miss the Davis Cup and he is not in the lineup of the United Cup that will kick-start on the 29th of December. He probably knows already that because of his injury, he will be a bit late in his preparation and therefore he wants to allocate more time to the so-called preseason.
The world no.1 is now in Spain, where he has started his rehabilitation. He posted this video to update his fans about his progress.
