Australian Open champion Li Na is rumored to retire after the China Open. The Chinese is now ranked world no.3 and she has not been playing for a couple of months because of a knee injury (see article).
There is some confusing about the argument, but according to Li Na’s agent Max Eisenbud the Chinese will keep on playing.
From a financial point of view it would not make any sense for Li Na to retire as she is now ranked no.2 in the list of the most paid woman in sport (Forbes).
The world no.3 should participate to inaugural tournament in Wuhan the 21st of September, Na Li Na’s hometown.
