The ATP and WTA tours had a brilliant idea to launch the so-called United Cup. The event will be staged in Australia (Brisbane, Perth and Sydney) on 29 December to 8 January.
The teams are allocated in groups that will play in a round format. Each tie is made up of two men’s and two women’s singles matches and one mixed doubles match.
These are the line-ups. Unfortunately, many top players will not compete. Therefore the competition will be orphan of the likes of Carlos Alcaraz, Novak Djokovic (Serbia will not take part in the competition), Cori Gauff, and Emma Raducanu. It is also worth noticing the absence of Team Canada, Kazakhstan, and Russia (not allowed to compete).

Carlos Alcaraz in 2022
LWWWWWWWWW Now ranked no.1, Carlos played his last match on the 4th of November when he had to retire when playing against world no.10 Holger Rune in the quarter and the scoreline was 6-3 6-6 .
Presently, during this year the Spaniard has managed to achieve a 57-13 win-loss record. The Spaniard has won 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. The Spaniard reached the final in Hamburg and in Umag.
Novak Djokovic in 2022
LWWWLWLWWW Currently the world no.8, Djokovic played his last contest on the 6th of November when he lost to world no.10 Holger Rune 3-6 6-3 7-5 in the final in Paris (draw).
At the moment, during this season Djokovic has achieved a composed 37-7 match record. Novak clinched 4 titles in 2022 in Rome, Wimbledon, Tel Aviv and Astana. Novak was the runner-up in Belgrade and in Paris.
Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic faced off just on 1 occasion. Their actual record is 1-0 for Alcaraz. When they played, Carlos Alcaraz won 6-7(5) 7-5 7-6(5) in the semifinal in Madrid (Mutua Madrid Open) on the 7th of May 2022.

Cori Gauff in 2022
WLWLWWLWWW At the moment ranked no.7, Coco played her last match on the 5th of November when she lost to world no.1 Iga Swiatek 6-3 6-0 in the round robin in Fort Worth (draw).
Presently, during this year Gauff has a 38-22 win-loss record. Cori Gauff’s best result of the present year was getting to the final at the French Open.
Emma Raducanu in 2022
LLWWWWLWWL Currently ranked no.75, Raducanu played her last match on the 4th of October when she lost to world no.8 Darya Kasatkina 7-5 6-4 in the 1st round in Ostrava (draw).
At the moment, during this season Raducanu has a 17-19 record. Emma Raducanu’s best result of the present year was reaching the semifinal in Seoul.
Cori Gauff and Emma Raducanu have never played each other so far on the main tour.
