‘Many lies to hurt us,’ says Tsitsipas’ father and coach Apostolos in Paris

Apostolos Tsitsipas seems to be hurt by some lies going around social media

Stefanos Tsitsipas And His Father Apostolos

Stefanos Tsitsipas will clash against Daniel Evans in Paris on Wednesday. However, something is bothering Stefanos’ father and coach Apostolos, who posted a rather enigmatic message on Facebook. Apostolos maintains that there have been a lot of lies about Stefanos’ team and family. Apostolos didn’t point at any particular episode. Probably he was hurt by somebody saying that Stefanos insulted him in Vienna (which is not plausible).

This was his statement translated into English.

“My dear friends and companions, since in the last few days unprecedented lies have been said and written in order to hurt our image.

I would like to ask you to be especially careful as there are fake posts from unknown profiles. Some seek to escape the darkness of their hatred by spreading the truth at the expense of others with malice and fake profiles that simply declare envy, envy and malice.

But knowing they won’t make it, we continue *strong and united* because we know difficulties and obstacles and we have learned to overcome them and turn them into victories!!! Thank you.”
