Emma Raducanu did not have the season she hoped to be ranked only number 76. Nevertheless, the British sensation did not struggle from a financial point of view to become the third most-paid female athlete in the world after Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams.
After conquering an astonishing US Open title in 2021, many top brands were more than eager to strike a partnership with Emma. Raducanu also became the brand ambassador for Porsche. Eventually, she decided to swap her Dacia Sandero for a Porsche 911. Funny enough the Dacia Sandero has a top speed of just over 100mph and takes around 12 seconds to go from 0-62mph. In comparison, Emma’s new Porsche has a top speed of 192mph and can do 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds.
Emma was caught driving the expensive toy (£124,800 for the basic model) with her father. It’s quite plausible that she received a good discount from the manufacturer.
Emma has always stated that she loves Porsches.
“My first memory was one of my coach’s 911s when I was young. Whenever I would turn up to practice, I would see his Porsche and it made me dream of one day sitting on my own. My favorite car is the 911 for sure. Throughout the generations, it’s so unique and beautiful in every way. I feel like it’s one of the most iconic cars that are out there,“ she said.
