Aryna Sabalenka had their rather weird season affected by an incredible amount of double faults (398 in total on 50 matches, almost 8 per match). Despite the issues with her serve, the entertaining Belarusian player managed to reach the WTA Finals, where she will face Ons Jabeur in her opening match.

During the Gala dinner that preceded the event, Aryna had a funny interview on stage where she admitted that she was even surprised to qualify for the season’s finale after being the ‘Queen of double faults.’

Currently the world no.7, the Belarussian played her last match on the 19^th of October when she lost to world no.19 Ludmilla Samsonova 6-4 2-6 6-2 in the 2^nd round in Guadalajara (draw).

This season the Tunisian achieved a composed 46-15 win-loss record. The Tunisian conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Madrid and Berlin. The Tunisian reached the final in Charleston, in Rome, in Wimbledon and at the U.S. Open.
