Carlos Alcaraz did not have a great stint after he won the recent U.S. Open. After a break, Carlito played in Astana, where he lost in his opening match to lucky loser David Goffin. The world number one took another break of two weeks before playing three consecutive tournaments in Basel, Paris, and the ATP finals in Turin.

Alcaraz has been training for many years with his coach and former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero, who published the following post on social media.
