Swiatek won the set after she broke the Czech 3 times in the 4th (3-1), in the 6th (5-1) and in the 12th (7-5) game. Barbora tried to stage a comeback breaking in the 7th (5-2) and in the 9th (5-4) game. Yet, Swiatek stayed solid to conquer the set 7-5.

Iga failed to serve out the set when leading 5-1 to be broken at 15.
