Emma Raducanu has been struggling for the entire season with all sorts of injuries. Unfortunately, the latest one was to her wrist and that will prevent her from playing in the tournament in Cluj-Napoca (Romania). It was the organization of the tournament to communicate the sad news with the following post on social media.
Sadly, Emma Raducanu is forced to withdraw from Transylvania Open due to a wrist injury.

LWWLWWLLWW Currently the world no.67, Emma played her last match on the 4th of October when she capitulated to world no.11 Darya Kasatkina 7-5 6-4 in the 1st round in Ostrava (draw).
This year Emma has achieved an overall 17-19 match record. Emma Raducanu’s best achievement of the year was reaching the semifinal in Seoul.
She is also scheduled to play in Guadalajara (Guadalajara Open Akron) after Cluj-Napoca. The main draw will start on the 10th of October.
Eugenie Bouchard in 2022
