Stefanos Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz are part of the main draw in Astana, whose matches will kick start on Monday. The tournament has managed to secure the participation of many top players, such as Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev.

Tsitsipas was not lucky in the draw since he will face home favorite Mikhail Kukushkin, who is extremely comfortable playing in Astana. The newly-minted world number 1 Carlos Alcaraz will be opposed in the first round to Holger Rune, who is in great form right now.

Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2022

At the moment ranked no.6, Stefanos played his last match on the 25^th of September when he lost to world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 1-6 7-6(11) 10-8 in the round robin in the Laver Cup (draw).

At present, during this year Stefanos achieved a 47-18 match record. Tsitsipas conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Monte-Carlo and Mallorca. The Greek was the runner-up in Rotterdam, in Rome and in Cincinnati.

Tsitsipas is scheduled to compete next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will start from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

Carlos Alcaraz in 2022

At the moment ranked no.1, the Spaniard played his last match on the 18^th of September when he beat world no.121 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).

This season Carlos has a composed 52-10 win-loss record. The Spaniard clinched 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Hamburg and in Umag.

Alcaraz is scheduled to play next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will commence the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Carlos Alcaraz fought against each other 3 times. The head to head is 3-0 for Alcaraz. The last time they competed against each other, Carlos Alcaraz won 6-4 5-7 6-2 in the quarter in Barcelona (Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell) on the 22^nd of April 2022.

Djokovic in Tel Aviv, ranking, and results in 2022

Now ranked no.7, Novak achieved a compiled 26-6 record in 2022. The Serbian is competing in Tel Aviv where he conquered the world no.115 Pablo Andujar 6-0 6-3 and the world no.149 Vasek Pospisil 7-6⁵ 6-3.

Novak Djokovic will square off with the world no.104 Roman Safiullin in the semifinal on Saturday at 12:30 pm on CENTRE COURT. They have never played each other till now on the main tour.

Djokovic clinched 2 titles in 2022 in Rome and Wimbledon. Djokovic was the runner-up in Belgrade (Serbia Open).

Daniil Medvedev in 2022

Now the world no.4, the Russian played his last match on the 22^nd of September when he lost to world no.193 Stan Wawrinka 6-4 6-7(7) 6-3 in the 2^nd round in Metz (draw).

This season Medvedev has a 37-14 match record. Daniil conquered 1 title in Los Cabos. The Russian was the finalist at the Australian Open, in Hertogenbosch and in Halle.

Novak Djokovic and Daniil Medvedev played each other 10 times. The head to head is 6-4 for Djokovic. The last time they competed against each other, Novak Djokovic won 4-6 6-3 6-3 in the final in Paris (Rolex Paris Masters) in November 2021.
