Djokovic, Kyrgios, Swiatek, Halep to play the World Tennis League in Dubai

Novak Djokovic, Nick Kyrgios, Iga Swiatek and Simona Halep will be part of a new competition in December that will be played in Dubai

Novak Djokovic, Nick Kyrgios, Iga Swiatek and Simona Halep are among the top players who are going to compete in the so-called World Tennis league that will be staged in Dubai in December 19-24 with 16 players. The competition will have best-of-3 matches with the so-called champions’ tie-breaker in the decider. While more details need to be provided, it seems that the competition will also have mixed doubles.

“This new event is exciting, there’s no doubt about it,” commented Djokovic. I absolutely love playing in Dubai, I’ve had a lot of success there over the years and really enjoy the fans. This is something different, and it’s going to be great being a part of it.“
