Novak Djokovic, Nick Kyrgios, Iga Swiatek and Simona Halep are among the top players who are going to compete in the so-called World Tennis league that will be staged in Dubai in December 19-24 with 16 players. The competition will have best-of-3 matches with the so-called champions’ tie-breaker in the decider. While more details need to be provided, it seems that the competition will also have mixed doubles.

“This new event is exciting, there’s no doubt about it,” commented Djokovic. I absolutely love playing in Dubai, I’ve had a lot of success there over the years and really enjoy the fans. This is something different, and it’s going to be great being a part of it.“

 

Djokovic in Tel Aviv, ranking, and results in 2022

Currently the world no.7, Novak has managed to achieve a composed 25-6 record in 2022. The Serbian is participating in Tel Aviv where he overcame the world no.115 Pablo Andujar 6-0 6-3.

Novak Djokovic will take on the world no.149 Vasek Pospisil in the quarter on Friday at 6:30 pm on CENTRE COURT. The head to head is 5-0 for Djokovic.

Novak has won 2 titles in 2022 in Rome and in Wimbledon. Novak was the finalist in Belgrade (Serbia Open).

Djokovic will compete next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October using a wild card.

Nick Kyrgios in 2022

Now the world no.20, Kyrgios played his last match on the 6^th of September when he was overcome by world no.18 Karen Khachanov 7-5 4-6 7-5 6-7(3) 6-4 in the quarter of the U.S. Open (draw).

During this season Kyrgios owns a composed 35-10 record. The Australian clinched 1 title in Washington. The Australian reached the final in Wimbledon.

Kyrgios has scheduled to play next in Tokyo (Rakuten Japan Open). He will start to play the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

This year Simona has a 39-11 win-loss record. The Romanian conquered 2 titles in 2022 in Melbourne and Toronto.
