Rafael Nadal played doubles with Roger Federer in what was a rather emotional Laver Cup. The Spanish legend was also in the company of his family during the competition. Rafa’s sister Maribel and father were also extremely happy to be in London to celebrate Federer’s retirement.

Now the world no.3, Nadal played his last match on the 5^th of September when he lost to world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 6-4 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the 4^th round of the U.S. Open (draw).

Until now, during this year Nadal achieved a compiled 38-5 win-loss record. Nadal has won 4 titles in 2022 in Melbourne, Australian Open, Acapulco and French Open. Nadal was the runner-up in Indian Wells.
