Kyrgios wins opener to clash with Murray in Toronto

Nick Kyrgios is back after his great run in Wimbledon where he has defeated the great Nadal playing an outrageous tennis (see the shot of the year).

The Australian didn’t really play his best tennis in his opening match against Santiago Giraldo, but that was good enough to allow him to win and play Andy Murray in the second round.

Kyrgios: I am relatively happy

Nick wasn’t elated by the quality of his tennis, but he was happy for his winning comeback “First match back so I knew it was going to be tough. I came out a bit flat. I thought I hung in well. I played the big points pretty well, as well. I’m relatively happy.”

Next vs. Murray

Nick is excited to play Andy Murray in the second round to comment “He’s a great player, and I’m just going to go out there and just enjoy the experience to get to play another player like that. I will hopefully serve well and keep it on my racquet and do the best I can out there.”

Murray will be the hot favorite, but wasn’t the same for Rafa in Wimbledon?
