Toronto: Isner crashes out in opener for the 2nd consecutive week

John Isner was rather bold after winning Atlanta to say that he was confident in a great American Summer. Well that didn’t really happen as after that the American no.1 lost 2 consecutive matches in the Washington and Toronto openers.

In Toronto John was upset by world no. 62 Ivan Dodig ( 6-4 6-7 (4) 6-3)

The other Americans are coming…

The good news for American tennis is that at least a couple of players are starting to come right. After reaching the semis in Washington, Donald Young is looking stronger and Jack Socks is definitely playing a great tennis to be finally a threat to top players. After winning the doubles in Wimbledon with Pospisil, Jack has reached the semis in Newport and Atlanta and has given hard life to Raonic in Washington. Sock will now face Raonic once again in Toronto and he will definitely have a shot at producing a great upset.
