Ranked world no.8 (career-high), the American played her last match on the 6^th of September when she lost to world no.10 Caroline Garcia 6-3 6-4 in the quarter of the U.S. Open (draw)

Until now, during this year the American has managed to achieve a compiled 34-17 match record. Coco Gauff’s best result of the year was reaching the final at the French Open.
