Carlos Alcaraz, Casper Ruud, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Nick Kyrgios will be the players to watch in the upcoming ATP500 event that will be played in Basel from the 24th of October. Curiously, the defending champion is Roger Federer, who won the tournament in 2019. The event did not take place for the following 2 years because of the pandemic.

LWWWWWWWWW Now ranked no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 18th of September when he overcame world no.121 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw).
Currently, during this year Alcaraz has managed to achieve a 52-10 record. Alcaraz clinched 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. Carlos was the runner-up in Hamburg and in Umag.
Alcaraz has scheduled to play next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will begin to play the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.
Casper Ruud in 2022
WLWWWWLWWL Ranked world no.2 (career-high), Ruud played his last match on the 23rd of September when he beat world no.126 Jack Sock 6-4 5-7 10-7 in the round robin in the Laver Cup (draw).
Currently, during this year Ruud has achieved a 46-16 record. The Norwegian clinched 3 titles in 2022 in Buenos Aires, Geneva and Gstaad. Ruud got to the final in Miami, at the French Open and at the U.S. Open.
Ruud is scheduled to compete next in Tokyo (Rakuten Japan Open). He will commence the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

Nick Kyrgios in 2022
