Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios were not on the great terms when they played their last match in Wimbledon’s third round on the 2nd of July this year. After the encounter, Stefanos accused Nick of being a bully after the Australian player put pressure on him in every possible way. Kyrgios replied that Tsitsipas was just soft.
After a few months, it seems that the relationship is much better. Stefanos released a nice video with the Tennis Channel challenging Kyrgios for a rematch.
“Nick Kyrgios I challenge you to come here, we play a rematch. Mr. Kyrgios, please come to Costa Navarino, I’d like a revenge match and no talking this time,” Tsitsipas said. Nick Kyrgios accepted the challenge. He posted Stefanos’ video on his Instagram stories saying: “Done. Let’s get this revenge match going. When and where and how much.”

Now the world no.6, the Greek played his last match on the 25th of September when he surrendered to world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 1-6 7-6(11) 10-8 in the round robin in the Laver Cup (draw).
Presently, during this year Stefanos has an overall 47-18 win-loss record. The Greek has won 2 titles in 2022 in Monte-Carlo and Mallorca. The Greek was the runner-up in Rotterdam, in Rome and in Cincinnati.
Tsitsipas is scheduled to play next in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.

Now the world no.20, the Australian played his last match on the 6th of September when he capitulated to world no.18 Karen Khachanov 7-5 4-6 7-5 6-7(3) 6-4 in the quarter of the U.S. Open (draw).
Currently, during this year Nick achieved an overall 35-10 match record. Nick clinched 1 title in Washington. Kyrgios was the runner-up in Wimbledon.
Kyrgios will play next in Tokyo (Rakuten Japan Open). He will commence the tournament from the main draw on the 3rd of October.
