Novak Djokovic is extremely excited to compete in Tel Aviv this week. The tennis icon will play his first match on Thursday against either Pablo Andujar or Thiago Monteiro. The Serbian sensation landed in Tel Aviv coming from London, where he played in a rather emotional Laver Cup.

As soon as he landed in Israel, Djokovic wrote a nice message for the local people: “Shalom Israel. I am very happy and excited to be back in Israel. Looking forward to a great experience. Novak Djokovic.”

The wrist injury

Unfortunately, Novak Djokovic has been dealing with a right wrist injury. The former world number 1 has been struggling with these issues following his effort at the Laver Cup after being out from competitions for more than 2 months. Novak admitted that this injury has been affecting his serve. It will be interesting to see how he will perform in Israel.
