Serena Williams is the top seed and the favorite to win the WTA event in Montreal, but this time has to face some fierce competition.
Serena looks much more vulnerable to the other top players and a tough draw will not help. The American no.1 should play Stosur in the second round, then an in-form Safarova, and a very dangerous Bouchard in the quarters. In the semifinal Serena might play an in-form Sharapova.
