Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz are probably the strongest tennis players in the world right now. These are their schedules after an emotional weekend spent at the Laver Cup.
Novak Djokovic’s schedule and wrist
LWWWLWLWWW Now ranked no.7, the Serbian played his last match on the 25th of September when he was overcome by world no.13 Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-3 7-6(3) in the round robin in the Laver Cup (draw). Currently, during this season Djokovic owns a 24-6 match record. Djokovic clinched 2 titles in 2022 in Rome and Wimbledon. The Serbian was the runner-up in Belgrade.
This week, Djokovic is expected to play the ATP 250 in Tel Aviv. He is also scheduled to play in Nur-Sultan (Astana Open) where draw will start on the 3rd of October. Unfortunately, Djokovic has been struggling with a right wrist injury, and we still needs to understand if he wants to play in Israel.
Rafael Nadal’s schedule
Ranked no.3, the Spaniard played his last match on the 5th of September when he capitulated to world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 6-4 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the 4th round of the U.S. Open (draw). Currently, during this year Nadal has achieved an overall 38-5 win-loss record. Rafael clinched 4 titles in 2022 in Melbourne, Australian Open, Acapulco and French Open. Rafael got to the final in Indian Wells.
Nadal will spend the next few weeks assisting his wife, who is having a complicated pregnancy. It is not clear when he will be back to competition again.
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal squared off 59 times. Their actual record is 30-29 for Djokovic. Before, the last time they played each other, Rafael Nadal won 6-2 4-6 6-2 7-6(4) in the quarter in Paris (French Open) on the 31st of May 2022.

Carlos Alcaraz’s schedule
LWWWWWWWWW Currently the world no.1, Alcaraz played his last match on the 18th of September when he beat world no.121 Soon-Woo Kwon 6-4 7-6(1) in the Rubber 2 of the Davis Cup (draw). This season the Spaniard has a 52-10 record. Carlos has won 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, Miami, Barcelona, Madrid and U.S. Open. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Hamburg and in Umag.
Carlito decided to take a 2 weeks’ break after being on the road and playing a lot of tennis for a couple of months. He is expected to compete again next week in the ATP500 tournament that will be staged in Astana, Kazakhstan
