‘I am just starting out,’ said Alcaraz talking about Nadal, Djokovic, Federer’s comparison

Carlos Alcaraz was extremely humble when he replied about a comparison between him and the Big3 (Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal)

Carlos Alcaraz About Starting Out.

Carlos Alcaraz has turned many heads after he won the US Open and became the youngest world number 1 player in ATP history. It is not a surprise that after he achieved so much at just 19 years of age, Alcaraz is often compared to the Big3: Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.

During an event organized by BMW, Alcaraz was asked to comment about the comparison with the Big3. Carlito was as humble as ever to comment:

“The Big Three? They are legends and have won everything, I’m just starting out. All this makes no sense, I just have to improve and work to get closer to those levels. Tennis is constantly evolving, there are always news and work to improve. Who to choose between the tennis players of the current and the next generation? I choose Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner.”

Comparison with his coach Ferrero

Toni Nadal expressed a similar comment when talking about Carlos Alcaraz. Toni said that early success does not mean that a given player can achieve greatness in the following years. Nadal made an interesting comparison with Carlos’ coach Juan Carlos Ferrero who won the Roland Garros when he was only 23. Even if Juan Carlos conquered 16 titles in his fantastic career, that French Open was the only major that he won.
