Calros Alcaraz With His Coach Juan Carlos Ferrero

Carlos Alcaraz achieved the impossible after becoming the youngest world number 1 in the history of tennis (ATP) after winning the US Open. Even if playing the American major was an incredible effort, Carlito decided to play for team Spain in the Davis Cup the following week.

After the Davis Cup, Alcaraz decided to stay a couple of weeks away from the competitions to recharge. That was also the message of his coach Juan Carlos Ferrero on Instagram. According to the former world number 1, the objective of Carlito must be to remain at the top of the rankings by the end of the year. Alcaraz will play his next tournament in Astana at the beginning of October.
