Roger Federer may play the last match of his astonishing career in doubles with Rafael Nadal on Friday at the Laver Cup. During a press conference on Wednesday, Roger was asked to comment about the possibility of him playing with Rafa.
Roger said that it would be a special moment if he plays with Nadal doubles and a great message that would go beyond the sport that rivals can also achieve something together.

Now ranked no.97, Roger played his last match on the 7th of July 2021 when he lost to world no.10 Hubert Hurkacz 6-3 7-6(4) 6-0 in the quarter in Wimbledon (draw).
At present, during this year Federer has managed to achieve a compiled 0-0 record.
Rafael Nadal in 2022
Currently the world no.3, the Spaniard played his last match on the 5th of September when he was overcome by world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 6-4 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the 4th round of the U.S. Open (draw).
This season Rafael has managed to achieve a compiled 38-5 win-loss record. Nadal conquered 4 titles in 2022 in Melbourne, Australian Open, Acapulco and French Open. Rafael reached the final in Indian Wells.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal faced off 40 times. Their record is 24-16 for Nadal. Previously, the last time they fought against each other, Roger Federer won 7-6(3) 1-6 6-3 6-4 in the semifinal in London (Wimbledon) in July 2019.
