Roger Federer shocked the tennis world and beyond last week when he announced his retirement. The Swiss sensation has been trying for the last couple of years to stage a comeback after struggling with his knee. Unfortunately, at the 41 years of age that was not possible.
In an emotional press conference in London at the Laver Cup, Roger Federer reveals when he decided to call it a career. Roger conceded that he had more doubts during the summer when he tried to push harder and he was really struggling with his knee. Therefore, at a certain point, he had to make the tough decision to retire because he didn’t feel he could turn things around as he had hoped.
