Roger Federer has just announced his retirement from professional tennis. The Swiss sensation shocked the tennis world and beyond with this announcement even if it was somewhat expected. After the initial post, he also published a thank you message for his wife Mirka, father and mother as follows:
“It was beautiful to release the news surrounded by my Mum and Dad and Mirka. Who would have thought that the journey would last this long. Just incredible!”
Roger Federer will have his official farewell in the upcoming Laver Cup in London. It is still not clear if he is going to play on that occasion.
