Roger Federer shocked the world after announcing his retirement. While it was expected that sooner or later the Swiss legend would have retired, still many players like Stefanos Tsitsipas said that they would miss the Maestro on tour.

While playing the Davis Cup in Tunisia, Stefanos was asked to comment about Federer’s retirement. Tsisipas commented:

“I saw it coming I mean he has been around for a long time and it’s a big surprise that he decided to do it now.

For me, he has been the person I admire the most the most since I was a young kid and my one-handed backhand is thanks to him.

We will definitely miss him. I don’t want him to be completely out of tennis. I want to see him around and I don’t think he will be doing that as well.

Tennis will miss a huge piece of its legacy in history but I’m sure there’s gonna be someone else who can take over and create something similar.”
