Roger Federer has just announced his retirement from tennis and there were all sorts of reactions from different tennis players and beyond. Carlos Alcaraz, Denis Shapovalov, Eugenie Bouchard and Garbine Muguruza were among the first ones to comment with the following tweets.

Carlos Alcaraz in 2022

Currently the world no.1, the Spaniard played his last match on the 11^th of September when he defeated world no.2 Casper Ruud 6-4 2-6 7-6(1) 6-3 in the final of the U.S. Open to win his 6^th career title.

Currently, during this season Alcaraz achieved a compiled 51-9 record. Carlos conquered 5 titles in 2022 in Rio de Janeiro, in Miami, in Barcelona, in Madrid and at the U.S. Open. The Spaniard was the runner-up in Hamburg and in Umag.

Denis Shapovalov in 2022
