Rafael Nadal announced that he would tour Latin America by the end of the year. According to Argentine journalist Danny Miche, world no.2 Casper Ruud will be the player that will tour Latin America with Rafa.
The Latin America Exhibition Tour will take place in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Mexico. The combined event will be staged in November after the ATP Finals.
Casper has a great relationship with Rafa. The Norwegian player is used to training at the Rafa Nadal Academy and he lost to the Spanish sensation in the last French Open final. Casper was also the runner-up in the recent US Open where he lost in the final to Carlos Alcaraz.

Now the world no.3, Rafael played his last match on the 5th of September when he surrendered to world no.19 Francis Tiafoe 6-4 4-6 6-4 6-3 in the 4th round of the U.S. Open (draw).
Presently, during this year Nadal has managed to achieve a composed 38-5 win-loss record. The Spaniard has won 4 titles in 2022 in Melbourne, at the Australian Open, in Acapulco and at the French Open. The Spaniard was the finalist in Indian Wells.

Now the world no.2 (career-high), Casper played his last contest on the 11th of September when he lost to world no.1 Carlos Alcaraz 6-4 2-6 7-6(1) 6-3
in the final of the U.S. Open (draw).Presently, during this year Casper owns a composed 44-16 win-loss record. Casper conquered 3 titles in 2022 in Buenos Aires, in Geneva and in Gstaad. Ruud got to the final in Miami, at the French Open and at the U.S. Open.
Ruud is scheduled to play next in Seoul (Korea Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw on the 26th of September.
Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud played each other just on 1 occasion. Their actual head to head record is 1-0 for Nadal. When they played, Rafael Nadal won 6-3 6-3 6-0 in the final in Paris (French Open) on the 5th of June 2022.
